It's already August?
The SpoCon is a week away?
How is summer almost over? It seems like only yesterday I packed up my belongings and hopped on a plane back to Washington. Writing can suck you away from reality--which is probably why I love it so much. I know I've disappeared off of the face of the planet for a while, but I promise that I have a good reason for doing so. What is coming will be well worth the wait.
Saturday, August 10th at 9:30 AM I will be reading from my newest novel, The Lazarus Serum, for 45 minutes at the SpoCon in downtown Spokane.
The book is due out soon. It is a post-apocalyptic science fiction book about a future where one must choose to join a society whose existence is governed by a drug that can create immortality at a terrible cost, or to join the rebels known as the Octane Angels who are forced to survive monsters in the desert and fight back against a corrupt government.
In the ruins of a state once called California lies the city of Amaranth, where childbirth is impossible, disease is myth, and every resident relies on the Lazarus Serum to survive.
